Union Captain

Dark blue with orange detail distinguishes this Colonial Union officer as part of the Ground Forces branch. Three horizontal collar stripes show rank (captain) and formation type (infantry). The number (seven) is that of the Strike Force. The kepi carries the characteristic two vertical golden bars of rank.

Normally, during battle, a captain would be close to the frontline. The uniform demonstrated here would draw attention and, by extent, sniper fire. As such, in actual fighting conditions, captains would wear standard military gear with helmet, complete body armour and less pronounced rank features.

Strike Force Seven was responsible for the protection of colonial worlds in the Independence War. Its Space Warfare branch reached greater fame, but the statistics speak for themselves: no other formation incurred as heavy casualties fighting off Earth as did the 7th Ground Force.
